COND Conducted its Third Roundtable Discussion on Transitional Justice in Dessie
On 19 June 2026, the Consortium for Networking and Development successfully conducted its third roundtable discussion on Transitional Justice in Dessie. The discussion provided a platform for local CSOs to exchange views on the ongoing transitional justice process in Ethiopia, identify opportunities and challenges in implementation, and explore ways to strengthen community engagement and inclusive participation. Participants emphasized the importance of accountability, truth-seeking, victim-centered approaches, reconciliation, and the meaningful involvement of affected communities in the Transitional Justice process. The roundtable is part of COND’s broader initiative to promote awareness, and stakeholder engagement on transitional justice across the Amhara Region, contributing to sustainable peace, social cohesion, and respect for human rights.
