COND Expands Transitional Justice Roundtable Discussion in Gondar
Building on the successful Roundtable Discussion held in Bahir Dar on 09 June 2026, the Consortium for Networking and Development organized a second Roundtable Discussion on Transitional Justice in Gondar on 13 July 2026. The event brought together local Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs), Associations of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), and other key stakeholders to further strengthen awareness, discussion, and engagement in Ethiopia’s Transitional Justice process. Participants discussed the core pillars of transitional justice and the critical role of civil society in promoting accountability, victim support, reconciliation, and documentation of human rights violations. The Gondar roundtable forms part of COND’s broader regional engagement strategy, and similar discussions will continue in other cities across the Amhara Regional State to expand public participation and enhance community understanding on transitional justice.
